They refurbished the restaurant, and it re-emerged as Bistro Boulevard, offering the same excellent service with traditional dishes but leaning towards a more casual bistro with a menu to match. Alain and Caroline’s daughter Nathalie and her French husband Patrice took over in 2012. In 1973, Chef Alain Pointeaux and his wife Caroline opened Le Boulevard – now known as Bistro Boulevard – and it is not only one of a handful of restaurants in the area to survive almost 50 years but very few Sydney restaurants could lay claim to such longevity.
